New Logo
With our little business getting bigger it was time to move beyond the home-made logo and to something a little more professional. We really like the 'splash' of olive oil. It's supposed to represent freshness and fun whilst the wave represents the wonderful sea views that our olives enjoy. All of this matters to us but you probably couldn't care less. Nevertheless… we hope you like it! We also have a new label that incorporates this new logo and this will slowly replace the old label over the next six months.

New retailers
With the new logo under our belt we approached a few local stores to start retailing our oil. We have found three new places scattered throughout the Fleurieu to join the current retailers, two of which are new businesses themselves, so if you are in the area make sure to pay them a visit. Our five retailers are:
Absolutely Rapt Cafe, Main Street, Mount Compass
Alexandrina Cheese Company, Sneyd Road, Mount Jagged
Finniss General Store, Railway Terrace, Finniss
Goolwa Central Meat, Goolwa Shopping Centre, Goolwa
Six Acre Grocer, North Terrace, Port Elliot
We also still offer free delivery to anywhere within 10kms of Goolwa, as well as online sales through www.seaviewgrove.com.au or www.farmhousedirect.com.au (the former is most economical, the latter has more options).

Appearance in Coast Lines
A monthly newspaper that is distributed online and throughout the Fleurieu published a feature article on Seaview Grove in their February edition. Click on the photo to the left to see the article. If you want to see the photos with the article you will need to download the whole issue. Coast Lines are big supporters of local food businesses and we certainly appreciate the exposure they have given us.

Calving Lowlines
Four out of five of our new Lowlines have calved throughout the first two weeks of February (2 boys and 2 girls). They are very cute and very feisty. Calving time was my favourite time of the year on our dairy farm and this has reminded me why. It's great to have the little ones running around in the paddock, kicking up their heels and playing. It's also been fun explaining reproduction to my four year old!

EVOO Vanilla Slice
Another example that "butter is for toast and for everything else use olive oil!" This is a gluten free, butter free vanilla slice I made with the kids. It was incredible. Next time a recipe asks for butter (or margarine) then consider swapping it with olive oil. There is a butter to olive oil conversion table on one of my 2013 posts, otherwise just replace it weight for weight. Your taste buds and cholesterol will thank you for it!! If you need some olive oil recipe inspiration then have a look at our recipe page.
