Bag-in-a-box Packaging
We have packaged our olive oil using the "bag-in-a-box" technique. The triple metalised bag keeps the air and light from the olive oil ensuring it stays fresher for longer. Unlike a bottle or tin, you do not let any air or light in to react with the oil whenever you open it. Using the bag-in-a-box means your olive oil will maintain its freshness for approximately 24 months. A bottle or tin will only last about 4 weeks after opening. The best thing about the bag-in-a-box though is the NO-DRIP tap ensuring no oily mess in the pantry!
Premium EVOO
Once processed, the oil is stored in giant air tight casks to allow the sediment to settle. After about 3 months (depending on how cool or warm the winter has been) the rich golden oil is decanted off the top and packaged for immediate delivery. It will easily last for 24 months.
Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO)
Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a particular style of olive oil. It has been harvested and processed within 24 hours, to give maximum flavour and retain maximum health benefits. EVOO has higher levels of antioxidants and polyphenols than regular olive oil and other oils. We also offer a "straight from the press" range of EVOO. When olive oil is processed, there is a lot of sediment in the oil. This gives the oil a darker colour and much more flavour. It is olive oil in its purest form. This oil is best used within 3 months of processing to ensure you get the most out of it. Our "premium" range of EVOO has been allowed to settle, then decanted to give the wonderful golden colour that you know best.
